An urban economist by background, Nigel is a chartered surveyor working at the intersection of information technology, the built environment and urban sustainability. Nigel gained his PhD in Real Estate Economics from the London School of Economics and he holds postgraduate qualifications in Politics, Development and Democratic Education, Digital Education and Software Engineering. He has a long standing involvement in professional education both as a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors where he is a member of the Global Education Standards Board and with the Institution of Engineering and Technology where he is panel member for the accreditation of UK Engineering Council programmes in higher education.

Arsha Cazazian-Clement is a seasoned real estate executive with over 2 decades of experience planning, executing and leading teams for large-scale public and private development projects. In her current role as Director of Global Real Estate for Shearman & Sterling, LLP., she is responsible for the firm’s workplace strategy, CRE integration, delivery and management of the partnership’s 1 million sq.ft global real estate portfolio spanning 23 offices across 5 continents. Prior to joining Shearman & Sterling, Arsha managed growth for JLL’s Project & Development Service line maintaining a deep focus and passion for sustainable, scalable and impactful development with particular concentration in underserved areas in the US and abroad. Arsha served as Principal of the commercial practice at Stantec where she was instrumental in executing a strategic plan for the New York commercial real estate sector addressing growth, talent, diversity, sustainability, technology and design excellence serving the needs of multi-national Institutions, Owners, Occupiers, Developers and Asset managers. Prior to joining Stantec, Arsha founded Soho-based D I A W R K S, a full-service solutions firm, providing design and consulting services to clients in the residential, commercial and institutional markets. Notable clients include Showtime, CBS, The Harvard Club of NY, Erno Laszlo, Kieihl’s, Loreal, Madame Paulette, NYIT School of Architecture, Mission to the United Nations for the OIC, Ashkenazy Acquisitions, Witkoff and Africa Israel USA. In tandem with her professional career, Arsha has participated in sustainable development initiatives and projects in emerging markets. She was as an active member of the United Nations Development Programme coupled with various pro bono commitments to the Impact Network, building schools along Zambia’s Copperbelt with deep focus on alternative energy solutions. She also served as Associate professor of Architecture at the New York Institute of Technology for 8 years. Arsha is a Board member of the Global Nomads Group (Bezos Family Foundation partner), KMJ Consulting (Transportation engineering) , Council member at Nationswell , Trustee of CBC in New York, active speaker, lecturer and frequent CRE advisor to public figures and universities. Sabina Kalyan is Global Chief Economist and Global Head of Real Assets Research for CBRE Global Investors with full operational responsibility for the firm’s strategy and research team and a specific role in selecting the economic scenarios and macro risk assessments that power the firm’s real estate forecasts. Ms. Kalyan is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, Global Investment Committee, and European and Global Leadership Teams. Previously, Ms. Kalyan served as Head of Research for the firm’s EMEA region and the global quantitative team. Ms. Kalyan joined the industry in 2001 and started working for CBRE Global Investors in 2008. Ms. Kalyan was previously Chief Economist at IPD. Prior to IPD, she worked for Capital Economics, where she developed their UK residential and commercial property market analysis and forecasting service. Ms. Kalyan studied economics at Lincoln College, Oxford University and is a member of the Society of Business Economists, the Society of Property Researchers and the Investment Property Forum. She is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Katherine Lang is EMEA Knowledge Lawyer for the real estate team at international law firm Baker McKenzie. She works with the EMEA real estate management team in aligning cross-jurisdictional thought leadership and business strategy, and advises on complex transactional points, legal developments and their business impact for clients. She also has a keen interest in how legal technology can drive efficiency and best practice. Katherine has contributed articles, webinars and podcasts to various legal and trade publications including Estates Gazette and Property Week. She is a member of the Editorial Board of Landlord & Tenant Review, the Consulting Editorial Board of LexisPSL, and the Committee of Oxford Real Estate Society. Katherine was previously a knowledge lawyer at Taylor Wessing, and before that a transactional real estate lawyer at Norton Rose Fulbright, where she worked in London, with a secondment to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Katherine began her legal career as a research assistant in the Property and Trusts Law Team at the Law Commission for England and Wales. Katherine read Geography at St Peter's College, Oxford.

Kevin founded Oxford Street Retail Advisors in 2018 and has more than 35 years of retail, mixed-use, and hospitality real estate experience. Prior to forming Oxford Street, he was Senior Vice/Partner at CBRE/New England. He also served as Executive Vice President at Katz & Associates, a national retail tenant representation firm. He has worked in-house for Fortune 500 retailers and has been a partner in various real estate development companies in New England. He is currently a partner in OxProp Ventures, a new hotel company based in London. His most recent education includes The Post Graduate Diploma in Organizational Leadership, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Mr. Higgins completed the Hotel Finance and Asset Management program from Cornell University (2021), The Oxford Entrepreneurship: Venture Finance Program (2020), and The Oxford Strategic Leadership Program. Kevin is a 2012 graduate of the Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate (AMDP) from The Harvard Graduate School of Design. She also has a specific focus on the consumer goods and retail sector, acting for a number of international luxury fashion brands, household names and well-known retailers. Andrew joined Savills at the start of 2019 to build a market-leading debt advisory capability. Having spent a successful career in debt capital markets at Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and latterly HSBC he is now transitioning those capital raising skills to advice Savills clients on all types of debt financings across all real estate asset classes. With over 30 year experience in the debt markets Andrew has advised a wide range of borrowers across many jurisdictions in raising finance from a variety of lenders, both in the banking and non-banking markets. The Savills Debt Advisory business advices borrowers across all real estate sectors and has successfully closed a number of retail transactions in Q1 2021.

Andrew Vaughan joined Redevco as the United Kingdom Managing Director in 2000. In 2004 he was appointed Managing Director for United Kingdom & Nordics, and in 2007 was nominated to the Board in the role of COO of Western Europe. In 2010, Andrew took responsibility for the entire European portfolio and subsequently was appointed CEO in November 2011. Prior to joining Redevco, Andrew served at Moorfield Group Plc (1997-2000), where he managed the joint venture partnership with the Blackstone Group and other US PE Groups. From 1992 to 1997, he worked for Friends Provident Life Office where he was ultimately appointed Fund Manager, assuming responsibility for the entire City and West End portfolio. In 1997 Andrew joined the Moorfield Group Plc as investment and development specialist where he managed the joint venture partnership with the Blackstone Group and was key member of the acquisition team. In total Andrew has more than 32 years of experience in real estate. Andrew holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Urban Estate Surveying from Nottingham Trent University and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Brandon Famous is a retail specialist who has built his career on advising retail brands on their real estate strategy. As an Executive Vice President with CBRE’s Global Retail Platform, Brandon specializes in national and global retailer expansion, site acquisition, and advisory. For 6 years, Brandon served as CBRE’s Global Retail Occupier Leader building the global CBRE retail brand and platform. In this role, he was responsible for the practice’s business operations, business development, financial performance and recruitment in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. Brandon advised over 1,000 retailers on their real estate strategy in the Americas and oversaw more than 650 retail brokers. He has played an active role in retail consulting, site selection, acquisition negotiations, construction, and economics analysis while leading CBRE’s representation of retailers in cross-border expansion worldwide. Brandon joined CBRE in late 2013 as an Executive Vice President upon the company’s acquisition of Fameco Real Estate, LP, of which Brandon was co-founder and Chief Executive Officer. He has more than 30 years’ experience in retail and commercial real estate and has completed more than 2,000 retail lease transactions totaling in excess of 20 million square feet of space. Prior to founding Fameco, Mr. Famous’ retail background included eight years in leasing and development with two of the Delaware Valley’s largest shopping center developers and five years in retail operations and site selection for a mid-Atlantic sportswear retailer. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and was an active within ChainLinks Retail Advisors, a national network of independently owned retail real estate advisors.

Alyshia Mangalji is a Global Director at Westmont Hospitality Group and is based in their London office. Her father and his family founded Westmont Hospitality Group over 40 years ago and it has remained a family-owned business since then. From a single hotel, it has become one of the largest private hotel owner/operators in the world with a significant presence in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Ms Mangalji has grown up working in various sectors of the hospitality industry—from asset management/operations to design to brand repositioning and strategy. Ms Mangalji focuses mainly in Europe and Africa on value-add opportunities for the company and manages a number of assets, new projects and investments, as well as Westmont’s philanthropic and education endeavours. Ms Mangalji has a bachelor’s degree from The School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and an MBA from The University of Oxford—Saïd Business School

Kai joined The Sydell Group in 2019 to help lead the firm’s growth across Europe. In his role, Kai actively sources, underwrites, and executes on investment, development, and management opportunities for the company across the continent. Sydell Group owns, develops, and manages hotels in the US and UK under the Freehand, LINE, Saguaro, NoMad, Park MGM, and Ned brands. Prior to joining The Sydell Group, Kai was an Acquisitions Associate at Starwood Capital Group in Hong Kong where he was responsible for building the firm’s Asia-Pacific platform. Kai started his career as an Analyst in the Acquisitions & Development team of Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group in San Francisco. At Kimpton, Kai was responsible for identifying, underwriting, and executing on acquisition opportunities for Kimpton’s KHP line of private equity funds and growing Kimpton’s management portfolio prior to its sale to IHG in 2014. This includes the Hotel Finance Group, as well as the bank’s Turkish and Scandinavian lending activities. With her team, she is responsible for the structuring and origination of various forms of loans to the lodging industry. Aareal Bank AG provides property finance solutions in more than 20 countries across Europe, North America and Asia. Aareal Bank AG holds a portfolio of roundly EUR 8 billion of hospitality related financings. Including Mrs. Graef-Parker, the Hotel Properties Team consists of ten professionals with in-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry. Dean is an experienced Investment Director focused on investment and asset management of real estate opportunities in the industrial, residential, mixed-use and retail sectors. Dean is responsible for UK Industrial Origination and Execution. In the past four years, Dean has been responsible for ~£1bn of UK industrial investment transactions including the March 2021 disposal of the Vantage Platform to Blackstone Managed Funds for £250m. Dean holds a First Class undergraduate degree in Business Studies from Leicester Business School and a post-graduate degree with Distinction in Real Estate from the University of Reading. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and holds the IMC qualification.

Mark Cartlich has over 20 years’ experience in European real estate, from research and corporate advisory roles in a number of investment banks. He joined CBRE’s European Industrial & Logistics Capital Markets team in 2017, to build up the strategy and research capability in the sector. Mark is responsible for advising clients on cross-border Industrial and Logistics strategy, related to the acquisition and disposal of individual assets or portfolios within the region, at a time of enormous change and innovation in the European logistics property markets. Prior to joining the EMEA Capital Markets Team Mark spent 20 years with ING, Nomura and Sanlam, covering the listed UK and European real estate sector, before working as a research and corporate advisory consultant. During this period he was involved with a number of IPOs, secondary offerings and M&A transactions across the EMEA region, as well as being a top rated Extel analyst in the sector.

Ben joined as MD of Legal & General Affordable Homes in in August 2018 from Sovereign Housing Association, the 6th largest housing association in the UK. As Executive Director of Property and Development, he delivered a development programme of 1,300 homes a year, managing an annual budget of c. £250 million. Ben has over 30 years of experience across residential housing, regeneration and real estate. Prior to Sovereign, Ben held the position of Group Director of Strategy and Business Development at house builder Keepmoat, Executive Director of Growth, Planning and Housing at Westminster City Council, was Director of Investment at First Base and was a Director and Executive Consultant for ABROS financial advisory and KPMG. Additionally, Ben was previously Chair at Westminster Community Homes, Deputy Chair of Thames Valley Housing Association.

DJ Dhananjai is Fund Manager within CBRE Global Investors. He is responsible for portfolio management and investments in the residential sector. DJ joined the group in 2007 within the Global Investment Partners business overseeing global investment portfolios, managed portfolios worth over £1.0bn. He structured a number of investment strategies, joint-ventures and programmatic ventures overseeing a wide range of investments across the alternatives sectors including residential, long-income, debt, and the commercial property spectrum.
Prior to joining CBRE Global Investors, DJ served with English Partnerships as Senior Investment Manager focusing on developing national housing and urban development / regeneration programs including the First Time Buyers Initiative (national shared-ownership portfolio), Surplus Public Sector Land initiative, Community Land Trusts and acquisition and funding of mixed use, housing and development schemes with major developers. Previously, DJ worked for Thames Gateway London Partnership (Dept. for Communities and Local Government) on one of the largest regeneration projects in Europe. Tom Bloxham MBE is Chairman, majority shareholder and founder of award-winning regeneration company Urban Splash. The business has won over 420 awards for architecture, regeneration, design and business success. It was in 1993 aged 29 that Tom founded Urban Splash with Jonathan Falkingham MBE; together literally two men in a shed they redeveloped an unloved building in Liverpool into the successful Concert Square mixed-use scheme. Since then, Urban Splash has undertaken more than 60 developments, creating thousands of new homes and jobs and investing nearly a billion pounds into successful regeneration projects across the country including; Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Bristol, Plymouth and Morecambe. In 2016, Tom and Jonathan launched House by Urban Splash – a modern housebuilder committed to creating homes using modern methods of construction (MMC). In 2018, the company acquired a factory from SIG PLC, vertically integrating the manufacture of its homes, and in 2019, House by Urban Splash completed on one of the sector’s biggest ever deals, a £90m transaction which saw Japan’s biggest housebuilder – Sekisui House – and Homes England become shareholders in the business. The company has created – and sold – hundreds of its customisable Town House homes in Manchester, Birmingham, North Shields and Salford and since 2019’s landmark deal, has been appointed on large-scale neighbourhoods in which it will create its homes; Wirral Waters in Merseyside, Inholm Northstowe in Cambridgeshire and a site with the National Trust in Cumbria.

Prior to that, Etienne worked at Knight Frank, JLL and the United Nations Environment Programme (the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agendas). Etienne has more than a decade of experience in sustainable property investment and strategy. He currently advises the largest property investment companies in Europe and is on the board of Orée, the leading French think tank on Biodiversity, circular economy and ESG reporting. In 2019, Etienne won the EG Awards in the category ‘Future of Real Estate’. Before that, Etienne was picked to be an Estate Gazette’s 'Property Rising Star' and nominated for numerous awards as one of the most active young leaders in the sustainability and real estate industries. He regularly speaks at high-level events, giving his vision for smart cities, carbon neutral buildings, wellbeing in the work place and the future of the real estate industry. Etienne graduated from the London School of Economics. A keen sportsman, Etienne has run nine marathons and enjoys playing tennis, sailing, skiing, cycling and golf. Abigail Dean is the Global Head of Strategic Insights for Nuveen Real Estate. She is responsible for the organisation’s global research, sustainability and proptech and innovation functions. She oversees Nuveen Real Estate’s Tomorrow’s World Strategy which future proofs the investment strategy in light of global megatrends and integrates ESG across fund and asset management. This strategy ensures that the business delivers on its mission to invest in the urban fabric of Tomorrow’s World for the enduring benefit of our clients and society. Working alongside our Product Development team, Abigail is also responsible for ensuring that new product and the growth of the business are under pinned by solid research and sustainability considerations overseeing the global research team. Since joining the firm in 2016, Abigail has overseen the organization setting a target to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2040. Abigail is a member of Nuveen Real Estate’s Investment Committee and has spearheaded the integration of sustainability considerations into the acquisition process. She is also leading the organisation to develop investment guidelines related to physical and transition climate change risk. She previously worked at JLL, where she led on sustainability for the Property and Asset Management's U.K. team. Abigail is passionate about driving sustainable change in the property sector and sits on several industry committees including the GRESB Benchmarking Committee and the INREV ESG committee.

Hugo is the CEO and founder of Newcore Capital, which over the last decade has become one of the leading social infrastructure investors in the UK. The business is also run to the highest ethical standards and became the first dedicated UK real estate investment manager to become a B Corporation last year. Hugo is responsible to all Newcore’s stakeholders for managing the business and its investment and impact strategies. Prior to Newcore, Hugo was a founder of and Head of Investment at Protego Real Estate Investors, which he set up with two colleagues in 2004 and sold to Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers (now Barings) in 2010. Hugo holds Masters degrees from both the University of Oxford and the University of Reading. He was amongst the first candidates to be awarded the IPF Real Estate Investment diploma and is MRICS. He was, until the end of 2015, a trustee and investment committee member of Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity (an NHS charity). Up until February 2020, Hugo was adviser to and Chairman of the London Diocesan Fund's property investment business. He is currently an Ambassador to the Aldridge Foundation, chair of the LandAid Probono Panel; and also spearheading Newcore’s pro bono efforts to regenerate the centre of Blackbird Leys, Oxford.

Melt Hamman is the CEO of Attacq, a REIT listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Melt has decided to exit corporate life and is leaving Attacq on 30 April 2021. He joined Attacq as the CFO in July 2013, 4 months prior to the listing. He fulfilled the dual role of CFO and CEO for a 7 month period prior to his permanent appointment as CEO in June 2018. During this period Attacq converted from a capital growth fund to a REIT. Bronwyn is the Chief Executive Officer of Grit Real Estate Income Group, the largest pan African focused real estate fund listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and in Mauritius. Bronwyn has significant corporate finance and deal making experience. She played an instrumental role in the JSE listing of Delta Property Fund Limited in 2012 where she held the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer prior to taking up the leadership role at Mara Delta Property Holdings. During her tenure at Delta Property Fund Limited, Bronwyn spearheaded the diversification of the REIT’s funding sources into the debt capital markets, leading to the establishment of a ZAR2 billion Domestic Medium Term Note Programme (DMTN programme). She led the team responsible for obtaining a national scale issue rating from Global Credit Ratings as part of the DMTN programme. In addition, Bronwyn co-headed the team responsible for growing assets under management from ZAR 2.2 billion at listing to ZAR 11.8 billion in May 2016. He is the former Director of Real Estate Technology Initiatives in the engineering school and will soon be transitioning into the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Business Analysis and Financial Technology where he will be responsible for developing advanced technology for the real estate industry. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Real Estate at New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate. His focus is on using advanced applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning to address inefficiencies and create new capabilities within the real estate industry. Josh serves on the Automated Valuation Model Task Force that reports to the U.S. House Financial Services Committee providing recommendations for the development and use of automated valuation models in real estate valuation. Nicholas is an architect and social entrepreneuer with global real estate experience. After graduating in Architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan in 2012, he worked in Italy and then Australia designing and building workplace projects for corporate tenants and landlords. In 2018, he joined WeWork in China and ran the Enterprise Services department across APAC & EMEA, delivering over half a million square meters of premium grade coworking spaces for Fortune 500 companies in the technology, financial services, life sciences and retail sectors. In 2020, Nicholas lectured at the Architectural Association in London, teaching a course called “Architectural Economics” that combined knowledge in design, business and sustainability through a series of workshops for post graduate students. Nicholas is based in Milan and works at Unispace leading the Italy & Spain studios with a focus on growing the business across Southern Europe. He is involved in the firm’s global activities around DE&I and sustainability. Additionally, Nicholas is the Co-founder and Managing Director of Casa Congo, a school of conservation in El Astillero, Nicaragua, that provides ongoing free education to 240 local students and is building a bamboo social housing program across Latin America.

Carol joined SRS in the Atlanta office in 2018 with 25 years of retail leasing experience having worked on the brokerage, retailer, and landlord sides of the industry. Carol’s tenant representation experience with SRS includes specialty retail brands, fitness concepts, entertainment concepts, beauty brands, as well as food and beverage. Carol joins SRS as a part of the Signature Group, which focuses on high end, digitally native, established and emerging brands, as well as upscale entertainment flagship and chef driven restaurants. Prior to joining SRS Carol came from her own company, Joyner Retail Services, whose mission was to assist both retailers and landlords refine and execute their growth plans. Prior to that, Carol worked with GGP as vice president of leasing for the Southeast region where she oversaw leasing activities in GGP’s super regional malls located in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. She also led a team in creating strategic plans for all centers in the region, with a focus on alternative uses, keeping those centers relevant and able to thrive in the changing world of brick-and-mortar retail. In addition, Carol served as vice president for Edens where she oversaw leasing activities for power centers, open air centers, and community centers throughout Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida. As a retailer, Carol has held national leadership positions with Gap, Inc., and Teavana. As vice president with Gap Inc., she oversaw one-third of the U.S. and three regional offices, and was responsible for the execution of development plans for Banana Republic, Gap and Old Navy brands. While with Teavana as vice president of real estate, she oversaw leasing and construction growth nationally and internationally, including Canada and the Middle East. Carol has an MBA from the University of Georgia and a B.S. from Wake Forest University. She is a member of ICSC, where she holds the CRX and SCLS designations. She volunteers with Jack and Jill of America, Inc., an organization of mothers with children ages 2 – 19, dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders. Andrew has also enjoyed a long career in IT starting out running programs on mainframes using punched cards, and then working through the eras of mini-computers, personal computers, and the internet - and now the world of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT) and blockchain. In his current role, Andrew is responsible for data and tech thought leadership and content development, and the adoption of the RICS Data Standard (RDS) that supports valuation, property measurement, life-cycle costing, brokerage, and due diligence.

After two real estate studies and a PhD Titus Albrecht started his career at EC in Berlin, where he was able to gain experience in the Berlin project development market. Titus then concentrated on real estate valuation, transaction management and restructuring of real estate funds at EY Real Estate. From 2013 to 2016 he was responsible for portfolio management for real estate funds at Union Investment Institutional before founding realxdata in December 2016. In December 2020, Titus Albrecht was appointed as FRICS by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
